Zoë Siegel
Whimsical, elegant, light, and luminescent, Zoë's work is rooted in the motion of gesture. They give body and vitality to the ephemeral.
Zoë grew up in New York City and Woodstock, NY. with parents who are both artists. She was encouraged from an early age to make things. Zoë moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, two years ago. The work she's been creating here is constructed with wire and transparent paper. The paper, a delicate and evanescent medium, acts as a membrane that gives life to the suspended forms, and gives the wire structures clarity and definition.
